Burghead
Sub Aqua Club (Burgsac) held a charity / fundraising Ceildhi Stomp,
featuring Box ‘O’ Bananas and decided to make a donation to the RNLI.
The charity is close to their hearts as they spend a lot of time
out on the sea and find it reassuring that the RNLI is there should they
ever need them. As the RNLI
receives no government funding and relies totally on donations, the club
members think it is important to support this worthwhile service.
The
evening was a great success and the club members were pleased to be able
to make a donation of £500 – the cost of a life jacket – to a local
branch.
The
photo shows the cheque being handed over to Susie Slack, Chairman of the
Findhorn, Kinloss and Forres Branch of the RNLI , by committee members
(left to right) Nicola Gibson, Jill Jones, John Carpenter and Jim
Hallyburton. Unfortunately, the event organisers, Janet Hallyburton and
John Cameron, were unable to attend the presentation.
Burgsac
would like to thank everyone who kindly supported the event.
